Shanya Alvarez
14 Black Assistant Coach
Shanya is originally from Rochester and is a former Impact player. We are ecstatic that she is continuing her Volleyball career with the Impact family as a coach this season. Shanya plays at the University of Rochester currently. For fun, she enjoys reading, sleeping, and playing with her dog.
Julia Barr
14 Red Co-Head Coach
Julia is originally from Buffalo, NY and moved here to attend RIT. She played club all through high school as well as in a summer league during college. Julia is beginning her coaching career with us this year and we are so excited and thankful to have her join us. Julia enjoys playing video games, going to the gym, and reading when she is not playing Volleyball.
Hannah DeLorenzo
16’s Co-Head Coach
Hannah is originally from Hilton, NY and has been a part of the Impact Volleyball Club family for a long time. Hannah played all through high school and went on to play at MCC as a regionally ranked setter. She has a well rounded and comprehensive coaching method but specializes in setting. In her spare time, Hannah enjoys reading, going to concerts, and traveling.
Tyler Farnung
Program Assistant
Tyler is originally from Irondequoit where he played High School and club volleyball as a sectional champion and MVP. He went on to play for Nazareth and was a team captain. He then played semi pro Volleyball in England and still plays for the VLA as an adult. Tyler has been coaching for several years for club and currently for Brighton High School and is brand new to the Impact family this year. He enjoys playing pickleball and disc golf, watching reality TV, and going to the beach to relax when the weather is nice.
Maddie Hammelink
13’s Assistant Coach
Maddie is from Rochester, NY and is making her debut this year as an Impact Coach. As a former player of ours, Maddie was well known and respected for her positivity and ability to bring energy to her teams. Maddie played all through high school and went on to play at Castleton University in VT. In her free time, Maddie enjoys going on walks with her dog, spending time with her family and reading.
Lilly Kraemer
15 Red Assistant Coach
Lilly is originally from New Hope, PA and was brought to Rochester to study at the University of Rochester where she plays Volleyball as well. We are fortunate to have Lilly starting her coaching career with us this season. In her free time, Lilly enjoys hiking, camping, cooking, baking, and lifting weights.
Cat Moore
14 Red Co-Head Coach
Cat is originally from Buffalo, NY where she played volleyball during her high school career. She brings expertise and knowledge to many aspects of the game, but specializes in setting. We are so thankful to have her start her coaching journey with us this year. When not on the court, Cat also enjoys coaching softball, attending concerts, and reading.
Becky O’ Dell
Social Media Manager, Communications Specialist, 18’s Assistant Coach
Becky is originally from Saugerties, NY and moved to Rochester at the beginning of her college career to study at Eastman School of Music. Becky has been with Impact for a couple of years and specializes in setting. She also serves as a Social Media manager and Communications specialist. With a degree in education, Becky brings a fresh approach to coaching and presenting information to the girls. In her free time, Becky enjoys music, cooking, and hiking.
Carolina Paine
12’s Assistant Coach
Carolina is originally from Rhode Island and Massachusetts. She played all through high school and in college.Carolina is a new addition to the Impact family this year and we are so excited to have her. Outside of Volleyball, Carolina enjoys running, spending time with family and friends, and shopping.
Jacqueline Smith
Co-Director, 18’s Head Coach, 12’s Head Coach
Jacqueline is originally from Rochester and has been with Impact since it was founded. She played Volleyball all through high school and still plays in community leagues as an adult. She is also a Co-Director of the club and has been on the board for several years. Jacqueline has been coaching for 12 years for the club and for a couple of different high schools in the county. When she is not coaching Volleyball, Jacqueline enjoys writing music, going on adventures with her family, and spending time connecting with friends.
Maren Smith
14 Black Head Coach, 15 Red Assistant Coach
Maren is originally from Cazenovia, NY where she played club all throughout high school. She was brought to Rochester to attend and play Volleyball at the University of Rochester. Maren has been coaching for 5 years and brings a wide array of experience to our club working with kids of different ages. Maren enjoys watching TV, listening to music and hanging out with her friends.
Alyssa Vogel
13’s Head Coach, 16’s Head Coach
Alyssa is from Rochester, NY and has been with impact since we started in 2012- first as a player and then as a coach. With over a decade of coaching experience both at Impact and HAC, Alyssa works intentionally to blend her tried and true methods with new perspectives and knowledge. Alyssa is passionate about the game and still plays as an adult in the Volleyball community. Alyssa enjoys reading and walking in her free time.
Lydia Weeks
14 Black Assistant Coach, 15 Red Head Coach
Lydia is originally from California and moved to Rochester to attend the University of Rochester where she has continued her Volleyball career playing for the school. This is Lydia’s 4th year coaching and we are thrilled to have her returning with us this year. Lydia has a variety of experience but brings a special edge in defensive knowledge. In her free time Lydia enjoys walking along the river, watching TV with friends and reading.
Chloe Williams
15 Black Head Coach
Chloe is from Leroy, NY where she played Volleyball all through high school. We are thrilled to have her back this year as she brings in knowledge and experience as a setter. She stays fresh with her skills by still participating as a player in the community in Rochester. In her free time, she loves creating, going to the gym and reading.
